Michael Jackson- Media's Toy

Michael Jackson- Media's Toy (on how for their own interest the media and others have used his name as and when required)
‘Nobody can belittle a person without his own co-operation’.
To justify the above quote, the famous and the wealthy, those who can afford the best attorneys to sue any intentional or unintentional defamation produced either in the form of print or television media.
The case where Michael Jackson was accused of being a pedophile and acquitted after the trial (like the saying goes – Money talks and Michael walks).
M.J. – The king of pop could have chosen to sue the involved media of writing against him on a sensitive and a personal issue before the court’s verdict. However, he did not choose to do so.
M.J. was so much of a media toy that even his death, which otherwise is a less popularized affair, gained immense media attention and investigation. M.J.’s death shrouded in a mystery which is still under investigation.
Even his family was speaking against him in public. The truth always bubbles to the top and sometimes directly from the "inner circle" by a family member.
M.J. was constantly aware of the leverage that he could expect from media irrespective of the criticism or appreciation. He took the best advantage of both worlds. M.J. might not have had enough good things on his plate to publicize and hence took to anything that came his way and settled in for negative publicity too. With the sort of fame he had, he could have lived a life overflowing with dignity, respect and honor without any defamation. The statement by M.J., - "I don’t care what they say about me in the newspapers, as long as they spell my name right," justifies it.
M.J.’s fans have stated that the media is highlighting the salacious allegations against the performer as opposed to his defense rebuttals, and skewing coverage of the trial against Jackson in general because "sensationalism sells" and the perception that he is a "freak."M.J’s
An excellent reputation is built on truth, transparency and accountability. These are three things Michael Jackson is lacking in his reputation.
At the end of the day its upto the wise discretion of the common man to apply his/her common sense to or no to give undue importance irrespective of his social standing in any chosen field.
Despite Michael Jackson’s dark side, his legend lives owing to mass appeal across all ages cutting global frontiers.
